Cape May County Sheriff Department K-9 Training Course

by SALT Staff on March 28, 2013

Day one at the Cape May County Sheriff’s K-9 Academy. This is a 12-week course on bloodhound man trailing. They’d like to see it become a standard in the state, if not the country, and they’ve brought some of the best known people in the industry in to make that happen. It’s pretty impressive. More to come. Look for their feature in ISSUE NO.7, coming around Memorial Day.

Is that blood-hounds name Oliver? My nephew,Lawrence, from Ilion,New York owned Oliver and had to give him up. He was told that Oliver is now in Cape May County and doing a fantastic job with the Sheriff’s Department. We have a condo in Wildwood Crest and I promised my nephew that I would try to find out how Oliver was doing. My family in Ilion really misses Oliver but know that he could be such an asset to the Department. Please let me know if I have found Oliver. Thank you. Sherry DiTrapano
